去年读Born to Run的时候，很不喜欢那种“运动杂志男写手”的气息，而这本书同样是运动类的书，给人感觉完全不同。如果说有toxic masculinity的话，那这本书就完全是它的反面（当然它可以有很多种反面），是masculinity in its best form。梦想、执着、坚韧、谦虚、诚实、真诚、友谊、爱情……（当然有人会说这些不是masculinity的特性，我当然也同意，但很多小细节确实给人传统意义上非常“男性”的感觉，也许是“类型书”的特点吧）。总之我觉得那种不断挑战自己身体的极限，和对大自然最深沉的敬畏和热爱非常触动人，听完以后我赶紧出门跑了14k，然后打算去报个攀岩班。
