就如評論所說，正文跟習題完全分不開，對於懶癌患者這是相當重要的。但一點詳細操作的例子都沒有，單靠這本書自學幾乎是不可能的。不贊同評論的地方：書中給齣瞭幾個學習路線可自行選擇最短路徑前往規範場，符號列錶藏在書最後。

這書現在看的話是不推薦瞭。內容龐雜適閤當字典，可是因為習題穿插其中完全沒法作為字典使用。這種 for physicists 的數學書往往意味著有許多地方不嚴格證明但是用的語言極端範疇化顯得很現代（比許多貨真價實的數學書都現代，因為要寫的簡潔），看起來很高大上並增加瞭額外的閱讀難度——甚至比直接讀數學書還難——卻沒什麼卵用。對於物理學生，比起學習更多結論，更重要的是連接起數學和物理兩邊的語言和記號，因為很多數學上的結論在物理上是十分trivial的推論根本不用學你也“懂”，可是這本書做不到這點。
