They call themselves The Dewsweepers every weekend morning throughout the season, they are the first group to tee off at the stately 100 year old Onandaga Club in upstate New York. Ranging in age from their late thirties to their seventies, they represent a whole variety of careers, personal situations and experiences. What they all share, what brings them together is their love for the game. It begins at dawn on a beautiful summer morning. A young member of the Club's ground staff is out on the greens, wielding an implement virtually unchanged since old Tom Morris's day, to sweep the dew from the greens before the start of the day's play.
