非常重要的一本书。对我来说，收获在于，第一，把福柯和早期政治社会学关于国家官僚体系建立的那些文献之间的关系撇清了；第二，通过他对于新自由主义的论述，反过去思考治理术和自由主义政治之间互为表里的关系。

其实是写“新自由主义的治理术”的书。自由主义最厉害的地方，也是治理术最盛之处，governmentality, freedom, 和liberalism恰恰是相伴而生的。尽管没有明说，可以看出基本都在和那套关注合法性、关注法权的政治理论对话，为什么那套话语和生活体验相差的如此之远，近代以来真正支配社会的是什么，限制公共权力的是什么。// 此书贯穿了福柯对于knowledge, power, truth的分析，直接切入political economy, market, state-society等问题，和早期作品相比更加老辣更加恢弘。
