可亲的教科书。

貌似上了好几节历史课也没搞懂历史这门学科的边界在哪儿。Megill说历史学家最好不要make causal claims，就是说，A导致了B。这本书是为了上课读的，是以前自己很不喜欢的“在历史中寻找原因和结果”一类的书，并且很多推断我觉得都有待商议。比较有意思的部分是横向的比较，比如同一时期的A地和B地的特点和情形分别是什么。看来历史社会学就是喜欢pattern。
