大衛·萊昂斯，哈佛大學哲學博士，師從著名學者羅爾斯，長期任教於康奈爾大學哲學係和法學院，1995年前往波士頓大學擔任哲學和法學教授。主要研究領域是法理學與規範倫理學，在對密爾與邊沁的研究上頗有獨到之處，獲得過很多學術榮譽，包括古根海姆奬和三次國傢人文科學奬。主要著作包括：《功利主義的形式和限製》（1965），《倫理學與法治》（1984），《為瞭被統治者的利益：邊沁的效用和法律哲學研究》（1973, 1991），《法律理論的道德方麵：論法律、正義和政治責任》（1993），《權利、福利與密爾的道德理論》（1994）。

葛四友，北京大學哲學博士，現為華東師範大學哲學教授，研究領域為現當代英美政治哲學、規範倫理學，興趣領域為元倫理學與法理學。目前正緻力於從動機限製發展新的後果主義理論，提齣包含公平與人道兩種成分的分配正義新解，著有《正義與運氣》，譯有《運氣均等主義》（編譯）、《閤理性的本質》（閤譯）《公共領域中的倫理學》（主譯）和《論重要之事》（閤譯）等書。
