Gulmash watched as twilight deepened. He waited. He hated waiting, but knew it would give them a much-needed advantage. Humans were much larger than they were, and on average, much stronger. Their only advantages were that they were quick and quiet, and their eyes worked better after the sun went down. Gulmash sometimes dreamed that his ancestors had lived in great underground caverns, ruling all the lands from such places. This is why, he believed, they could see when the humans could not. He snapped himself out of his pointless musings. It was dark enough. He motioned for the warriors to follow, and he and Mag-Navat moved toward the half-completed wall. . .
