each of the dead became a number，非常凝重的一本书，欧洲血色大地上，希特勒和斯大林的罪恶罄竹难书。诡异的是，在我国，至今有人津津乐道斯大林的苏俄多么强盛，或者一些人大谈纳粹美学，甚至为纳粹军事关键点的失败“扼腕叹息”，还来句狗屁“历史是由胜利者书写的”，好像这帮孙子多冤屈似的。

断断续续花了三个多月的时间，终于看完了这本关于1933—1945期间苏联西部、波兰东部、波罗的海三国（也就是作者笔下的“血色大地”）普通民众悲惨遭遇的著作。作者讲述的这段过于沉重的历史以及无比邪恶的人性，屡屡让我产生悲伤、恐惧乃至窒息的感觉。尽管有人说过“一个人的死是悲剧，一百万人的死就是统计数字”，尽管在这片血色大地上的遇难者，最终也化为了统计数字——14000000，但是每一个遇难者其实都有自己的名字，而每个名字的背后，其实都对应着一个曾经鲜活的生命，他们和你我一样，都在这个星球上爱过，哭过，奋斗过，梦想过…… “人就是人，而不是达到任何目的的工具”——康德 “没有人是一座孤岛”——约翰·多恩
