还行。读完之后发现不是那么喜欢英国的历史。

听多了亨利八世的风流韵事，我只想从本书中找到一个答案，是什么让他疯狂娶妻，性事不断？性事不断，本性使然;但真正让他娶妻的原因却是想要一个合法的、世人公认的儿子、继承人，来巩固都铎王朝的统治地位。亨利八世费劲心血，耗时7年跟第一任妻子凯瑟琳离婚，也使得英国脱离罗马教皇的精神领导。对于一个无神论着而言，我是很难理解为什么一代帝王要耗时7年游说教皇得到其认可。也许在那个多病、人类力量有限的中世纪，宗教的力量才是最让人畏惧的。
