看副標題“A Critical Guide for Designers, Writers, Editors, & Students”，還以為這是一本以實用為主的書。但讀完瞭纔發現這本書講實際運用的部分並不多，很多方法和建議實際上都在附錄裏麵。但是不要因此以為這本書沒有用，恰好相反，我們能找到無數的指南手冊告訴我們...

買這本書其實是想對字體進行深入的研究，買到手發現並非自己需要的。本書的大緻內容和以前看過《平麵設計原理》有7分相似，所以對我來說很多是重復性的知識，就版麵設計方麵更推薦《平麵設計原理》。當然這本書講瞭很多字體的發源和曆史，是新玩意兒，嗬嗬，對字體的曆史感興...
