理查德·道金斯(Richard Dawkins)，英國皇傢科學院院士。牛津大學教授，著名科普作傢、生物學傢，英國皇傢學會會士。

理查德·道金斯是目前全世界最著名的無神論者，2005年14月30日他公開錶明自己無神論者的身份。他也是全世界最具爭議的進化生物學傢，他的每一本書都是暢銷書，他還經常在各大媒體討論、評論科學的各個麵相。《盲眼鍾錶匠》與續篇《攀登不可能的山》(Climbing Mount Improbable,1996)都是進化生物學的入門書。道金斯的理論著作，除《自利的基因》外以《延伸的錶現型》(The Extended Phenotype,1982)最為重要。《盲跟鍾錶匠》獲得英國皇傢文學學噲非小說類最佳圖書奬與美國《洛杉磯對報》的文學奬。英國廣播公司(BBC)根據本書拍攝的電視片《萬惡之源？》，獲得最佳科學紀錄片奬。另外他的《解析彩虹》是最受讀者歡迎的作品。

陳蓉霞，1961年11月齣生於上海市。1983年畢業於華東師範大學生物學係。1986年畢業於華東師範大學自然辯證法研究所，獲哲學碩士學位。現任上海師範大學哲學學院教授。

Richard Dawkins in one of the country's most famous scientists. He is also one of our most outspoken critics of religion. In "The God Delusion", he presents his arguments for atheism.
