There is nowhere else in the world quite like Chungking Mansions, a dilapidated seventeen-story commercial and residential structure in the heart of Hong Kong’s tourist district. 应该是读完的第一本人类学专著……重庆大厦之于香港应该是一个他者，但也许也只有香港这片神奇的土地上才能有重庆大厦这样神奇的存在，一个全球化浪潮之中小小的暗流……讲大厦里各色人等的文化认同那段真是感人至深，他们是来自第三世界的中产者，在有着更多中产者挣扎生存的发达城市里挣扎生存——于是我的感想是千万不能留下来。

有幸跟着gordon mathews游了一遍重庆大厦，第一回摸清楚每层的用途，觉得好像比以前单纯了一些，当然，仅仅是一些。
