青春期的自述没童年那么“好看”，只是因为童年是能唤起所有人共情能力的阶段吧，加之以孩童视角中的动荡的国家和时代背景。而青春呢，意味着我们每个人都长出了自己的棱角，在更多人眼中变得不那么讨喜起来。但不管怎样还是很喜欢Marjane直率叛逆又有些无所谓的个性，喜欢她对个人生活、他人、社会环境的观察和描绘。也对她一人在外留学的精神困境有那么些同感，那种在异乡像一粒灰尘一样完全微不足道的感觉，还有“在西方人眼中是伊朗人，在伊朗人眼中是西方人”的两难。
