大一時在《中外美術之旅》的選修課上老師推薦的一本書，後來就在圖書館裏麵藉到瞭，那個版本的名字叫做《渴望生活》，應該就是這本書。整本書裏麵充滿瞭激情和愛。說太多無益，不如一讀。這是一本可以讀一生的好書！

A man with lust for life is doomed to go through. Faith will lead him the right way, a long way seeming endless. And all flowers will turn to face the sun. Just being and doing, this is life.（book1是中文版，之後看的英文版，再也讀不進中文版。熱愛生命的人都是真實的哲學傢，其中的經典段落數不勝數，行文若此。）

We're always saying life's meaningless, in pursuing its track but we find its value. If one man has the true courage and strength, he should live like Vincent but not as a coward or a hypocrite.

終於讀完瞭……其實沒有想象中好；如果當作傳記，內容並不是完全真實嚴謹的，作為小說，大量“全知”視角的心理描寫也反而有點削弱瞭人物的“生命力”，就像書中以Bouguereau為代錶的學院派的畫作相較於印象派一樣……

受限於英語能力，用瞭較長時間讀完這部英文原版，梵高在37歲時選擇結束瞭自己的生命，在畫畫的十年時間裏，大部分都飢寒交迫，居無定所，如果以我們對於生活的標準，他是可憐的，淒苦的，但我其實並不這麼認為，他對生命的洞察力以及對自然美的感受所帶給他的幸福確是我們蕓蕓眾生永遠不能感知的，生活本就是一場經曆，他的經曆極其豐富，偉大....
