收獲大概在於看清瞭幾個已被攪渾瞭的泡沫：1.這本書的研究對象僅是歐洲資産階級社會，而根據H的觀點，嚴格意義上的public sphere僅在18世紀短暫齣現過[2、3]；2.public sphere 的齣現在很大程度上倚賴於private realm的獨立；3.public sphere 和civil society是兩個獨立的概念，並沒有必然聯係(這大概是攪得最渾的一個泡沫)；4. public sphere, publicity, public opinion之間的關係與區彆[4、7]。需要繼續思考的是文本/文化在現代（及以後）社會中的角色/能量：如何流通，如何形成瞭新的空間/領域，如何將個體連接成共同體，又如何製造齣瞭“共同體”或“個體”這樣的幻覺並把人規訓在這些幻覺裏。
