不晓得有没有人考证过，炎热的气候会不会让人比较爱唠叨，而寒冷的气候是不是就让人和爱斯基摩人一样地惜字如金、沉默寡言？兴许，是因为闷热潮湿的天气在作怪，让美国南部的小城居民都用劲没处使，染上了爱八卦的毛病，无论好事坏事，一下子就能传遍全城，人人都知道别人在干...  

如果不假思索，绝大多数人都可能认为天堂就是充分满足感官享受的地方，基本上就是一个想吃啥吃啥，想喝啥喝啥，想看啥看啥，听啥听啥，想怎么睡谁就怎么睡谁的地方。当然境界高点的人可能还会要求证实哥德巴赫猜想什么的，但是对一般人而言，能充分满足感官享受的地方就...  

当第一眼看书的封面就觉得自己会喜欢这本书了，怪异的感觉。 不知怎么总觉得这本书很有趣。 可能就是因为这些“八卦”吧。 觉得当地的人们都挺可爱的。 作者真的运气不错。 哈哈。

十五年前看过改编电影完全没任何印象，前几天去旅行才意识到这书是写萨瓦纳的，因为完全被城市迷住所以回来立即找来读，惊为天人，感觉被作者带着又走了一遍全城所有的house tour, history tour, ghost tour，字里行间都能体会到小城的气息，这种奇怪独特又迷人的气质勾得我也想一次次再回去，或者默默住上半年。如何写一座城市，这书真是极致了。电影根本改不出来的。
