工业革命版的傲慢与偏见没跑了。比起阳春白雪的P&P，这部明显要更有野心，涉及英国南北文化的隔阂，阶层的差异，底层的苦难，仇恨和偏见的产生。不过最触动我的，还是对失亲之痛的深刻描写。Gaskell真的写什么像什么。以及Mr.Thornton也太苏了！！缺点是误会巧合太穿凿了一点，篇幅太长，部分段落基督教说教意味明显。
