毕业之后好长时间没有碰过这种学术性强的英文长篇，决心要重新锻炼一下。Pater这本想读好久，从有意识读书以后就常常看见引用，这次总算啃完了原典。虽然各种长句看得我发晕，但是pater的行文的确非常典雅，和他评论的对象形成了和谐的统一。虽然说他的主论点现在看来有点“老饼”，但是写具体人物的几个章节尤其显出他的才华——敏锐的观察力，打磨过的审美能力，一定的学识基础和极真挚的热情。虽然不太喜欢他偏论述性的表达，但是一旦到了表达审美标准和喜爱之情时，就充满了灵气的感性，很打动人。
