单元模块,虽然是很厚的一本书, 仍然易于阅读; 介绍多方面的观点. 社会调查的例子, 多以英国的资料. 很多中国的问题没办法涉及, 比如农民工, 农村, 国有企业的下岗(失业?)等社会问题.

评分我看了这本书，我觉得这本书最大的不同是处处注意从女权主义的角度在各个方面介绍与性别有关的问题，并尽量从女性的角度出发来叙述，而对种族和族群的差异方面就相对不那么警觉了，单由吉登斯的这本著作能够看出女权主义对他思想的影响。
评分社会学还不是一个显学，很多人不知道是什么东西，这本书是有力的证明。但主要太厚适合专业人士阅读。希望有简略版，让质疑社会学学问的人懂事点。。。
评分我买的是个蓝色封面的,比这个图片好看多了。 吉登斯终于经过两年的时间看完了。越看到最后，越觉得字字珠矶。好在是个小本，可以放在手边随时拿过来看，因为这个社会学简直太全面了。不过，由于是一大帮研究生们的翻译作品，就像跟我自己的翻译作品一样，读起来有那么些的生涩...
