此书是作者完成于1960年代的一本小书。本来的称呼是专题论文。 有时间还是要读一下，毕竟是大家手笔。  

哥伦比亚大学的教授有很多在哲学上有较高的造诣，像杜威，这个教授不知比他们怎样？而且确实影响了很多人，像胡适也不是深受杜威的影响嘛，而且还出了一个《杜威五大演讲》的书。

魏玛是一个乱世，乱到人们看不清，而当大家意识到它时它已经不存在了。魏玛又是个混血的私生子，具有说不清的来历和血统，它无需跨出国门，就已经来到德国之外。它诞生于一个民族的屈辱、忍耐、反思与爆发之中，由此自然而然促发的反抗精神构成了文化的原动力，但也为此后欧洲...
