作者简介

GEORGE ORWELL (1903-1950) was born in India and served with the Imperial Police in Burma before joining the Republican Army in the Spanish Civil War. Orwell was the author of six novels as well as numerous essays and nonfiction works.

看了荣如德先生译的《动物农场》，这是第一次看荣先生的译作，而是我看的第6本《动物农场》译本。现在已经有了至少9种《动物农场》译本，除了个别译本，大都还不错。 看荣先生译作，感觉先生的中文功底很深，许多用词令我赞叹，不过译文也有白壁微暇的地方，看书时随便记下几...

A shiver ran down my spine.

读这本书要了解该书和作者的背景，了解之后趣味无穷，发人深省。

读到It was the pig walking on his hind legs时冷颤几许。。

Once again, Orwell had pictured so graphically about the very upset fate and misfortune of the revolution led by proletariats. The success fruited from the revolution would have always been stolen by a smaller proportion of working mass.
