三部分。第一部分基本是“不要这么做”，好处在于进一步解释了为什么不要。第二部分是一些写作技巧，“要这么做”，更适用于写fiction的技巧，人物，故事的构造。第三部分是具体的语法和风格，好处依然是说清楚了为什么，这部分如果更充实更好。

讲的是英文写作，但原则性的东西也适用于中文写作。

很棒的寫作書。有30％是關於寫技術方面，但可惜只是以guideline寫得比較簡短，要看詳細的如何構造句子段落等還是推薦Style。其他部份有講文風，有講如何創作，最棒就是破解了很多寫作的迷思。很難記筆記的一本書，基本上所有的內容都有用，是像How to Read a Book一樣要經常拿出來查閱的工具書。
