全書中隻有一、兩章是作者教授如何寫迴憶錄，整本書是他的示範，由學校生活到寫作教學，寫齣他自己的迴憶錄。開始時，他提議讀者從小事寫起，不要一開始就寫人生中的大事，他辦到瞭，全書滿是他日常生活的細節記錄。我相信他每日寫日記，日後寫迴憶錄時纔可以連何時何分都記得起。
