沒有認真讀過肯威爾伯的其他著作的人，看這本書會比較吃力，它是針對那些熟讀過威爾伯著作，渴望能有實際操作指導的人所創作的，這本書其實是肯威爾伯對其宏大思想的一個概括性總結，相對於該係列的第一本《生活就像練習》而言，思想性更強，但操作性相對簡單。
