Chalmers was elected a fellow of the Academy of Humanities in 1997. His primary research interest is the philosophy of science and he is author of the best-selling textbook What Is This Thing Called Science? which has been translated into many languages.He has been a visiting scholar at the Flinders University Philosophy Department since 1999. 读后感

比较简单的科学哲学书籍，读的深入的话还是有所收获的，前几章非常清晰，后面批判归纳之后有些不如之前简明，可能因为问题也更加复杂了，或许由于出版时间关系本书只说道费耶阿本德，对于劳丹，邦格等没有叙述。  

科学究竟是什么？当我们提出这个问题的时候，就像一个仰望星空的小孩。书里没有给出确切的答案，只是复述并分析了很多有代表性的回答。在我看来，科学就像星空、“道”一样，无法用“A是B”这种直接的方式描述。  

查尔莫斯的这本《科学究竟是什么》是研究生阶段课程主要参考书，本来是带着对科学本质的认知去看这本书的，本来设想学罢应该对科学的概念更加明晰，但结果只能说“始于迷茫，走向更大的迷茫”。 从最后一次课，大家的讨论就可看出，全班对查尔莫斯的科学...
