A transition read for the following book Discipline and Punishment. Some key emphases in my reading notes: 1. "prison-form" as "the analyzer" of power relations against 4 kinds of power conceptualizations. 2. a methodological understanding: Foucault's archaeological and genealogical (more emphasized) analyses embodied in these lectures.

福柯每本书都信息量巨大，每一章都够消化很久，这个系列的译者注释也超级棒！这本和D&P联系十分紧密，D&P是关于institutions of confinement，这本则关于institutions of sequestration/normalization，二者都是hyper power的体现，但后者则更体现了power对我们生活方方面面的影响，借由morals对judicial system的介入，我们每个人、每一天都受制于这张power的网（power的日常性）。在这本书末尾，福柯还讲解了power的流动性，它并不受既得利益阶层完全控制，而是一种流动的interplay，每一天我们的生活里都在进行着这种civil war（每日每夜的战斗！）

简直大赞！！可以说，这本书的价值绝不低于《规训与惩罚》，也是后者成书的思想基础，一路走下来，可以非常清晰地看到福柯谱系学的发展。译者（是译者吧？）的注释和福柯的手稿绝对绝对是个宝藏啊！！我终于明白为什么来听福柯讲课的人要把录音机放讲台上，因为听一遍根本不够啊！信息量太大！有生之年要是可以认真地听到这样的课堂，那真是太幸运了！
