看到第四本已经对三位主角很厌倦了，各种情节反转也没有给三人增加一点深度。Elena和Nino本质是一种人，Nino对她致命的吸引力是因为身为男性，Nino在新自/精利的道路上更加如鱼得水，有意思的是Elena的父亲是市政厅门房，Nino父亲是火车检票员，同属于基层官僚、对权力体系看得见但摸不着，也是阶层跃迁动力最大的阶层。而Lila的父亲是鞋匠，还保有对手艺、对传承的一份尊重，所以是Lila和木匠的儿子Pasquale最有历史观，从小就总嚷嚷着要了解事情的来龙去脉。而这两位那不勒斯手工艺人后代的惨淡谢幕也是对意大利乃至整个世界在过去大半个世纪中的变迁的一个隐喻。让我最终对Lila厌倦的是她对Elena和Nino的迷恋，she should have cared less。

终于读完这四部曲了，像走过了Lila和Lenu 从六岁到老的人生，长长的喟叹。第四部出现的转折非常的突然，里面的Lila 变得更模糊了。看见Lenu 对自己的永恒的怀疑时，有这么一句话deeply struck me:我的人生就是为了改变自己的社会阶级打的一场漂亮的仗。

上帝给了Lila一手好牌，却又把它打烂，Lila像是碎成一地的瓷器，每一片都闪闪发光，想去拥抱又不知道从哪里入手，Lila Lila。

关于友谊真是太真实了，所有丑陋肮脏的部分都写出来了，毫无保留。之后lenu崩溃发现也许lila从头就定义了她的人生，有这样一个朋友，其实未尝不是幸福。只是她太执着于要走出lila的影子，即使她找到了一个很好的自己。
