This book is about the family/school life of a Latino-American teen age girl, and how she squeezed her place between the family/community -oriented Mexican culture and the individual- oriented America culture. It covers the conflicts of parenting between two generations, illegalization immigrations, depression, equal rights etc. A good read.
评分I don't think this book is really excellent ,but I just love it. Me and Julia have so much in common. Both of us love reading, and sometimes I just don't like anything. Some emotions written in the book are exactly what I am feeling in certain circumstances. Plus:I love David Bowie too.
