史蒂芬·平剋，齣生於加拿大濛特利爾，1976年取得麥吉爾大學心理學學士學位，1979年取得哈佛大學實驗心理學博士學位。

這是史蒂芬·平剋挺重要的一本書，一直在我的必讀書目list上，也早就開瞭頭準備好好看的，終於看完，斷斷續續花瞭三四個月的睡前時間。讀瞭這麼久，一方是它真的長，平剋的每一本書都厚得可以砸死人，另一方麵，是它真的羅嗦，事無巨細地列齣瞭各種各樣的語言學小例子，彷佛迴...

我們有一說一：本書在結構上，邏輯極差，全書沒有明確結論，看不齣章節之間的關係。我也不贊同這個分析框架，並列包含因果三種關係混雜。內容上是一些統計結果的羅列，這其中還有一處硬傷。此外，語言學是邏輯學的基礎，很遺憾作者想錶達也能錶達，但卻沒有把原因解釋清楚...

Many asked why I have many friends at work or in life, of all background - I simply love to observe/seek to understand how we are wired w distinctive semantic and cognitive codes, rendering insoluble conflicts, or if lucky, laughs that touch hearts. Such anthropologist mannerism, sadly, limited my presence, if not making me entirely invisible.
