Someacquaintance with manifolds, simplicial complexes, singular homology andcohomology, and homotopy groups is helpful, but not really necessary.Within the text itself we have stated with care the more advanced resultsthat are needed, so that a mathematically mature reader who accepts thesebackground materials on faith should be able to read the entire book withthe minimal prerequisites.

最近我讀完瞭Raoul Bott的Differential Forms in Algebraic Topology（代數拓撲中的微分形式），開頭還算是比較輕鬆愉快，後來遇到spectral sequences就開始發暈，到homotopy的時候就有點像放棄瞭，好在那是一個相對獨立的章節，熬到最後的characteristic classes稍微總算好...
