距離看完這本書都已經兩年多瞭，在圖書館的尋覓，無意中看到瞭這本書，看到瞭斯圖爾特 穆勒那個時代的大學教育，更重要的是他小時候由爸爸帶給他的教育，都是非常自由獨特的。想象著有那麼一天有著那樣思想碰撞的場麵，積極討論問題，並形成自己獨特的觀點。

讀完第一章便收起來。長時間的心靈震撼，使得我不知道如何繼續閱讀下麵的篇章。過瞭很久，纔安靜下來繼續閱讀。縝密、清晰的邏輯，嚴肅、客觀的態度，公正、坦蕩的人格，博大、寬容的關懷，堅決、理智的自由意識。一百五十年前已然如此。嘆服之至。阿彌陀佛。2012.12.30
