菲茨杰拉尔德总说不上多深刻，故事并不新奇，读着也就看得到结局，但读到全书最后一句，这样戛然而止太揪心，一下子缓不过神。他能那么短小精悍也能这么绵长，描写太有画面感，十几年的功夫不知不觉就过去了。风流倜傥纸醉金迷，难怪译本都被骂，翻不出那个气质。
