有几篇很喜欢。或许以后应该再看些这一类的书。

《广告狂人》,一部很妙的剧,一部不屑于吊观众胃口很粗暴剪辑的剧,表面冷酷暗里汹涌激烈的大部头,用广告这个行业来引线,好像讲的是职业,窜起的确是“人”在不同的政治和历史背景任意情境中为了生存而作出的人生选择和无奈的被选择。而这本书,其实是借了这部剧的壳,从苏格拉底到尼采等等,把历史上很多流派的哲学观点浅显的传递给了读者,所以本来晦涩的哲学,在书中显得很好懂。注:我很着迷剧中Don跟Peggy之间的复杂的亦师亦友亦敌的情感/每周五返深高铁固定看一集,不多不少,成了习惯。

不同网友关注的的点大同小异从而有重复之嫌。并不是很了解文中反复提及的尼采康德黑格尔哲学和消费主义到底有什么联系。但对人物分析颇为透彻,Draper不断地用出轨来麻醉自己的identity crisis。Pete沉迷于过去和无法得到的才能而显得lack of gratefulness.Roger享乐主义源于他的突发心脏病。Paggie忍辱负重的事业女性形象无疑是70年代女权运动的典范。Betty是父权社会下身不由己的家庭主妇犹如被广告操纵的消费者般的力不从心。Joan书中没有过多篇幅但也是懂得运用女性魅力游走在男人间的CEO型女强人。

Extremely interesting. Skillfully use basic concepts in philosophy to understand major characters and story lines in Mad Men. In the meantime, explaining these philosophical concepts in a simple and logic way that even a layman would find it easy to grasp. Also provides with a philosophical/logical way to understand the past and current world.
