Teju的处女作，但是他试图用文学去确认个体在历史、文明和政治中的地位与角色，娓娓到来的文字其实是对所谓西方文明的质疑甚至是责问。而他对个人生活的回忆和描述则是凸现个体生命在历史长河中无可比拟替代的孤独感。他很年轻，前途不可限量。
