正如作者首先聲明的：沒有復雜的公式，沒有教科書式的理論。挺全麵地講解瞭所有DIY需要知道的部分，專業的數據引用和根據作者自己經驗的推薦是兩大特色，很適閤業餘愛好者上手，讀過一遍就能輕鬆記住很多自己搗鼓機械小玩意兒的基本要領。其實對學過專業知識的人來說也未必太小兒科，因為理論和實踐需要結閤。
