英文版已经出到第九版了，2015年10月出版，新增了不少21世纪以来的内容，如图：  

正在读，挺厚的一本，以前一直困惑找不到完整的世界历史地图集，特别关于欧洲国家历史疆域的演变，东南亚伊斯兰的扩张，以及撒哈拉沙漠以南非洲几大古帝国的兴衰，都能在这本书里找到地图。建议对世界历史有爱的朋友必备  

中译本还对涉及中国的内容做了删改，这时可以理解的，可以接受的，但是2011年中文版依据的是1999年出的原书第5版，2010年已经是原书第8版了，请问这样做是负责任的出版社吗？以后买这家的书要慎重一些。 与此类似的，中国青年出版社的《西方文明史》作者:勒纳 / 米查姆 / 伯恩...

一共花了将近60个英镑漂洋过海邮过来，谁跟我说这个比谭老的中国历史地图集好来着，都他么的扯淡，这本书哪叫atlas啊！分明就是个大英百科的历史分册的即视感！真是本六一礼物，想买本世界历史地图集的时候看亚马逊的一群评论说如何如何好，找了半夜却淘了这个货回来。买的2015第九版，最新版。到手后粗览。
