1981年，他被授予美国教育促进与支持理事会的年度教授称号，1992年他当选美国艺术与科学学院院士，这些是一位心理学家的至高荣誉。

I wish I had read this book earlier, and had more time to read it again. Perfect introduction to Social Psychology, which in my eyes is a subject rather revealing of the human condition. Written in a concise and intriguing manner, it actually helps our understanding of why we do what we do, and how to build better relationships with fellow humans.
