劳伦斯•M•克劳斯（Lawrence M. Krauss），美国著名理论物理学家、评论家和备受赞誉的科普作家，被《科学美国人》（Scientific American）杂志誉为“罕见的公共知识分子。”

克劳斯的名声享誉国际，他的研究兴趣包括早期宇宙、暗物质的性质、广义相对论、中微子物理学、宇宙学、天体物理学等多个方面。他于1982年加入哈佛科学协会，1985年进入耶鲁大学天文物理学系，后获得麻省理工学院物理学博士学位。他目前是亚利桑那州立大学起源研究课题组负责人，也是该校的地球与空间科学学院和物理学的教授。

沒讀過，純粹吐槽一下封面印象。原書副標『Why There Is Something Rather than Nothing?』與海德格爾所謂的『為何存在者存在而無反倒不存在？』頗為相近，中譯翻作『萬物起源於空，空又從何而來』則純粹是墮入了『萬法歸一，一歸何所』式的妄執當中。
