還行。作者觀察還是一如既往犀利。畫風簡明扼。感覺不如北朝鮮那本好看。可能因為一是本身槽點較少，二是耶路撒冷還是離我們的生活遠瞭點。作者還有本畫深圳，一本畫緬甸的。畫深圳那本也比較一般，因為作者所畫是90年代中期的生活，離現在時間稍嫌久遠，國內情況也已改變很多瞭。

《you-know-nothing奶爸在東耶路撒冷的懵逼日常》一個標準的western outsider視角。好在不entitled、不patronizing、preconceived idea很少：「assuming nothing and drawing everything」。可以從quotidian details以小見大。比起Sarah Glidden，作者既沒有身份包袱，也沒有站隊需求，都沒做什麼額外的文化曆史功課，所以哪怕隨老婆派遣的時間比Glidden的birthright trip長、接觸以色列社會麵廣，也還是寫得隔岸看花，更不要提有什麼有意義的心路曆程。意外的驚喜：偶爾有些laugh-out-loud humour。個彆章結尾處的留白。敘事隨機，卻節奏很好。

對中東太缺少瞭解，讀的很是一知半解。<Pyongyang>和<Shenzhen>離我們的生活更近些，但絕不是說這本書不好，隻是我懶得邊讀邊查wiki。期待再次閱讀。

走的地方越多也越來越雲淡風輕瞭，不過還是感覺不如平壤和 BURMA

耶路撒冷無疑是最適閤討論世界主義的地點之一，但是真的要在曆史與現實的仇恨和對立中說這些，又顯得虛妄矯情和（反轉的）西方中心。作者倒也算明白人，“年紀越大越斯多葛”，在文化獵奇中找些普世的小溫馨，挺好的。
