斯坦纳说唯有读过荷马史诗才会知道托尔斯泰的好，读过莱辛、席勒、莎翁才知道陀翁的好。现在我想说只有读过罪与罚、魔山、追忆似水年华、列王纪、蔷薇园，才能知道帕慕克的好，才不会把《红》作为一个谜案故事直奔凶手而去。所有经典都是回顾式的飞跃，不是自淫自呓的创新。
