作者简介

其实，直接去看Jared Diamond在TED的演讲就够了吧。如果不是写几千字的book review不需要全读。。最后三章(或许读读prologue和前两章)足够

4.9 stars. The demonstration of Easter Island's society.

此书会让人觉得罗嗦，但其实是作者以像做学术那样的严谨态度写的。总结了几个人类文明灭亡或者衰落的原因，看了让人扼腕惋惜。虽然那些文明大多都是小范围的，如今经济文明都全球化。但是，人，仍旧鼠目寸光而又贪婪自私。实在应该每个人都来读这书。虽然读了，也仍旧因为自私而选择鼠目寸光。。。

Some chapters are too dry, but some are good and acutely point out the problem of mordern society. Globalization is not always so good in the perspective of environment. Maybe we should really focus back on our local economy instead of importing and exporting so much.
