我現在對這本書的理解，是兩個轉摺：從古典之前到古典時代意味著知識從尋找“相似”到辨認特性和特徵的“不同”，但其中又內含瞭笛卡爾式的測量與秩序和不斷齣現的混亂的經驗現象的斷裂。直到康德革命之後，現代的知識構型把從經驗中歸納的“特性”和本質的“結構”聯結瞭起來，從屬於一個先驗的秩序，並將這個秩序名為“知識”本身。——但我仍然死都理解不瞭representation，以至於實在不能接受為什麼在此框架內李嘉圖之後政治經濟學就是“現代”的開端是對古典時代的突破瞭，尤其考慮到政治經濟學內部若乾流派對於價值不同認定的情況下。
