首先，當代讀者應該明白這應該是一本以“父老鄉親”為閱讀對象的小說所以這就決定瞭它情感上務必是通俗甚至有些煽情在設計上也很簡單純粹小說以半介入的程度描摹瞭一群準美國移民的生活圖景和他們居住生態的變遷但是拓荒的經過似乎隻是一帶而過拓荒是怎樣的篳路藍縷也隻...

為何我的眼裏常含淚水，因為我對這土地愛得深沉。質樸的語言歌唱勞動，歌唱生活，和土地結下的緣分在陽光下跳動，在稻香裏綿延。人永遠目送著往事離去，它們飄得越遠，越讓人追憶，積極的主鏇律中永遠夾雜著一絲這樣的惆悵和哀婉。書中描寫瞭三個人的肉體死亡和一個人的精神死亡。Alaxzandra對Emil和Marie持否定態度，讓我覺得她未免不近人情，但是Carl的勸慰非常暖心，對Frank的描寫讓人意外，三個人都沒有惡意，卻成就瞭彼此的悲劇。可能是剛看完Lolita的原因，覺得直白瞭一點，主題化瞭一點，有某些地方瓊瑤化瞭一點。

人物間的感情發展果然不齣我所料，是讓我一點難過又有點開心的故事。想知道更多關於Ivar的事情啊。
