读了field condition这章，强调作为体验场域的建筑形式与传统的作为视觉对象的建筑形式不同，强调局部性、地方性、自下而上是必要的，不会对整体system产生大的负面影响甚至能促成system形成。场域建筑的其中一个特点即是多为水平氛围，不同于竖向城市和建筑带来的视觉冲击力，更在于特定时刻在扩张的城市场域中的更厚实和紧密的体验。该理论也与Frampton的megaform概念不谋而合，指向能影响大都市景观变化的水平特征建筑。
