写得有趣的一本书。像明代印刷时代下书籍的普及与宗教等公共建筑壁画之间的竞争，就是一种很好理解却又很难理清楚但被作者大致上理个清楚的一章。下文，对于《三才图会》中“天、地、人”三大主题的表现方式的讨论，对理解明代人的视觉文化，很有启发：“天”的表达，反而越来越不具像了，地的表达则跟时代的商品化、地图、收藏品的制作有关。。。。第5章讨论的是“木版印刷时代的艺术”，外加一章专讲情色画。
