LARRY COLLINS (1929-2005) was born and raised in West Hartford, Connecticut, and is a graduate of Yale University. He was for more than ten years a foreign correspondent in North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, first for UPI and then for Newsweek, for which he was Paris Bureau chief.

DOMINIQUE LAPIERRE was for many years senior reporter and editor for Paris Match. He is the author of several earlier books published in France, some of them based on his knowledge of the United States, where he attended Lafayette College and where his father served with the French diplomatic service. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

用瞭近一個月的時間讀完瞭厚厚的一本《巴黎燒瞭嗎？》，當初買它說實話就是因為讀庫要搬倉庫所以搞特價，四百多頁的精裝本16塊錢就拿到手瞭，不得不說很多時候占便宜的心理勝過瞭對書本身的喜愛，既然買瞭就要讀，因為提前做瞭一點準備，所以沒有以往對大部頭小說的恐懼和拒絕...

真得說，這本書不容易啃完。 首先是我完全不熟悉的曆史事件，還是法國與德國之間的；其次，就像所有國外書籍共同存在的問題一樣，人名長得無法記得清楚，況且本書在主綫外每個小節都會齣來很多新的人物。 終於一鼓作氣看完瞭，不得不說，在最後看到法國熬過一劫的時候，心裏麵...
