Stiglitz criticized the the Euro for leading EU into the crisis. He argued that Euro was conceived as a mean to an end (political intergration) based on a now disapproved neoliberal market efficiency hypothesis. He noticed how those goals failed spectacularly. 最近偷懒，两个月才读了过半，基本思想已了解，就放弃了。斯蒂格利茨是个到处放炮的，在贸易的书里攻击IMF，在这本书里攻击德国，有时候挺牵强，有众人皆醉我独醒的意思，不过蕴含的经济思想倒是很统一也值得思考：经济自由主义是一种意识形态，而不是真理，经济政策要考虑与模型的差异。至于欧元的问题，其实并不像斯蒂格利茨说的这么不堪，货币的问题并非无解，可以用财政来弥补，就像中国的地区差异不比欧洲区小，但没人说各省都用人民币是个问题。问题出在欧元区有统一货币，却没有统一的财政体系，但欧洲一体化进程如果继续推进，说不定就把这些问题都解决了。
