第二次被要求讀這本50年代的暢銷書。上次從post-humanism的角度，這次從media theory的角度。上次覺得年代感很足，作者說的在當今已然是共識瞭。這次倒發現有些東西又迴來瞭 - “The Marxist Queen is very arbitrary indeed, and the fascist Queen is a good match for her” (193). 另外上豆瓣纔發現這本書中譯叫“人有人的用處”，說實話這麼翻譯感覺完全變成瞭另一本書。雖然原書由於時代局限也難逃人類中心主義，但”the human use of human beings”傳遞的是一種比較悲觀的情緒，而“人有人的用處”感覺是我們都有光明的前途，不懂這個翻譯。

算是cybernetics的科普瞭。人對人的使用，不關機器好壞，但人的使用決定瞭技術的作用。這看上去老生常談中充滿瞭極大的蓋然性，Wiener在思考過美國整個的經濟和政治之後並不在乎傳遞更多的信息，隻是想告訴科學傢要有信仰，要有良知拒絕與極權閤作，對於技術更重要的是know-what的求知，而不是know-how的美式實用主義。作為語文學傢的兒子，從後半部分看得齣讀過的文學還不少，但後半部分也有點流水賬瞭。。。
