控製論創始者對於人類、社會、曆史的一些思考；“熵增加”成瞭曆史決定論，一切都要消散，而人（生命的穩定狀態和社會的發展）是暫時抵抗增加的孤島。這簡直是神學式的發言。

第二次被要求讀這本50年代的暢銷書。上次從post-humanism的角度，這次從media theory的角度。上次覺得年代感很足，作者說的在當今已然是共識瞭。這次倒發現有些東西又迴來瞭 - “The Marxist Queen is very arbitrary indeed, and the fascist Queen is a good match for her” (193). 另外上豆瓣纔發現這本書中譯叫“人有人的用處”，說實話這麼翻譯感覺完全變成瞭另一本書。雖然原書由於時代局限也難逃人類中心主義，但”the human use of human beings”傳遞的是一種比較悲觀的情緒，而“人有人的用處”感覺是我們都有光明的前途，不懂這個翻譯。
