The first English memoir that I have read. Things happened, I don’t know what caused the change, herself or miracle or both

It amazes me how she can achieve what she achieved today after going through such a horrible and extreme childhood. But 3 PhDs out of 7 kids, I can’t help but wonder if her parents actually did a good job at homeschooling... Overall, I think the book fits right into American dream stereotypes and maybe that’s why everyone’s raving about it.
