He had no lawyer, no advocate on the outside. In desperation, he writes a letter to Guardian Ministries, a small nonprofit run by Cullen Post, a lawyer who is also an Episcopal minister.
Guardian accepts only a few innocence cases at a time. Cullen Post travels the country fighting wrongful convictions and taking on clients forgotten by the system. With Quincy Miller, though, he gets far more than he bargained for. Powerful, ruthless people murdered Keith Russo, and they do not want Quincy Miller exonerated.
They killed one lawyer twenty-two years ago, and they will kill another without a second thought.

不曉得大傢為什麼都棄瞭，我是三天接連著就看完瞭。情結緊湊，文筆通暢！明明很好讀嘛
评分挺嚴肅的，沒有感覺有多懸疑，也就那樣吧。但是對於學法律的我來說，還行，也算瞭解一些詞匯瞭
评分john grisham簡直就是律師小說版的dan brown，倆人都寫懸疑，破案，都是那種劇情繁復錯雜，讓人心髒吊到嗓子眼恨不得一天就看完的那種小說。讀完能明白為啥這種小說暢銷，可惜這種類型並不是我喜歡的
评分藉偵探題材深刻反映美國種族和司法製度的深刻問題，主題十分深刻。故事上後半部分鋪開各種綫索之後卻最終沒有找到真凶，這個安排感覺有些虎頭蛇尾，但是後記中提到故事的現實版就是如此，所以也可以算作作者現實主義的安排。期望能早日翻拍成電影。
